Transmutation

Transmutation is work I developed based on the term Alchemy. 

Inspired by the word "Alchemy" I started to think of an anime 'Full Metal Alchemist'  I used to watch when I was younger. The big concept in the anime was transmutation. Turning a base metal into a pure metal. With the law being that you have to sacrifice something equal in value to what you're trying to gain. "The Law of Equivalency". Purely fictional show, grounded in fact.  It made me think about how as autonomous human beings we are in control of ourselves, and that we experience a constant stream of transmutations by choice and chance.  In a gym, you sacrifice your time and comfort, giving your sweat and your pain to transmute to a new body. The grief of loss visits your doorstep and your life changes inevitably. Masters of our own Destiny, the blessing and the curse. A series of inescapable events, all towards a better you, a bloom. Your philosophers stone. It gets overwhelming sometimes, but even though it may not always feel that way, it'll be alright.
